Training to become an Osteopath is the best thing I ever did - not only for the rewarding work of helping people, but it has also developed me on a personal level.

Our wee Luna

( I have clinics in York  &  Wakefield )

Born & raised in Glasgow, I moved to England aged 19, where I studied Mechanical Engineering and developed a successful career in offshore pipeline and submarine cable installation industries.

Then, in my mid-30's, I saw my GP for a problem I was having and he suggested that I see an Osteopath .....   I was so impressed by her treatment that I decided to become one myself!

So, I left my lucrative job in London, undertook the full-time 4-year degree in Osteopathy, graduated in 2008 and moved to York.  Since then I have served the communities of York and Wakefield - I also treat patients who travel from further afield.

(I enjoyed working at 'Wakefield Osteopaths' for 16 years but left in order to reduce my working hours for family reasons.)

I continue to attend at least 2 to 3 post-graduate workshops / courses per year, to further develop my knowledge & skills - I'll never stop learning!

As well as my day-to-day work, I also enjoy organising and tutoring at the annual Biobasics workshop for Osteopaths in London.

My husband, Andrea, also trained as an Osteopath (we met during our first year of training) - he works alongside me when I am at my York clinic.

We love our pet chickens
 & our little dog Luna.
